SOURCE: code 301, random or cylinder 1 misfire

Spake pluge could have gone bad, or the Spark Plug wire. Try changing all your plugs and wire and inspect the old one's. The wire could be bad do to time or may have been against the exhaust manifold and brunt. Good luck

2008 ford fusion is the bank 2 on radiator side

For the 4 cylinder, yes. For the 3.0 V6, it's on the firewall side (O2 banks are designated based on where cylinder no.1 is located).

Only runs 3 cylinders

If your compression is fine, and you know you have spark, then I would suspect the fuel injector is not functioning. This can be the injector or the harness. If it is not too hard to get at them, try switching two of the injectors and seeing if the misfire changes to the cylinder that you put #3 on. This way you won't buy an injector unless you need it. If the misfire is still on #3 then you have a problem with the wires controlling the injector or possibly even a problem with the controller. (note, remember to replace the bad injector not the one you put in #3 if this works. )

I think you lost a digit in that code; misfires are generally in this format: P03XX with the XX designating which cylinder(s). If you have a V8, the code is likely to be: P0308 Misfires can be caused by 'fouled' plugs, bad ignition wiring, injectors that are occasionally sticking, etc.

Engine light began to flash on my ford fusion 2 54 plate only 38,000 miles also fluid was comin out of exhaust also engine was shaking. what could this be ?

If your engine light is flashing, then one of your cylinders is misfiring. Continuing to drive will cause severe damage.

You'll need to bring it to a shop for them to diagnose which cylinder is misfiring.
