Question about Dodge Cars & Trucks
My husband was driving his truck and it just died. It will not start back up. At first, thought it was ignition coil. replaced that. still will not run or turn over. Replaced fuel pump. then replaced something else. still nothing. What could it be?
You need to know if it is getting spark to the plugs and fuel pressure before you start replacing parts.
It could be as simple as the ASD relay.

Testimonial: "Already checked the ASD relay. Replaced. Truck started, but then died and won't start. Replaced fuel pump, ignition coil. No fuel pressure."

there are 2 sensor on the carb . you may need to replace both to find out whiche one it is . try this also give it gas while starting and when it starts you will have to keep your foot on the gas a little to keep it running if it runs that way its one of the 2 senors .

Chevy Trucks, Blazers, S10 pickup and the like will vapor lock ecspecially the 2000 models. Do not tighten the gas cap past 1 click. There is a tube that runs from the top of the tank down and this gets hot and collapses or burns in half. We just bought a reinforced rubber tube cut it to lengh and use it instead of part and it's worked grat for 2 years so far.

My 93 dakota had some corroded wires for the fuel pump. Broke in half under the cab. Follow the wires from the fuel pump in to the plastic wire wrap. lightly tug on the wires and see if any are loose. That's what fixed mine. Good luck!
