I have a 2008 ford edge, the DVD player had a disk that was stuck in it. i dropped the player and pulled the DVD. when i hooked it back up, the dash display says connection error, see dealer. ther is no...

How did you pull the DVD? My guess is one or two things; either there was an internal malfunction that prevented the DVD from ejecting and you made it worse by forcing the disc out, or there are multiple connections on the back and you may be missing one. Otherwise, the connector you know is good may have disconnected on the other end (if it isn't hardwired all the way to the control module) or something else got jarred loose while you were in the wiring. I'd take a good look at all the connectors behind the DVD player (not just the ones that connect to it) and look for something loose... otherwise you might need a new DVD player. If you have a multimeter and can verify the connector to the DVD player has power you can eliminate the likelyhood that it has disconnected closer to the control module.

I have a 1988 ford 250. it just up and died and is getting no spark what so ever. I replaced the ignition module, pick up coil, coil itself, coil wire and still no spark. There must be a relay or something...

A very common problem with newer vehicles is the crankshaft sensor. If it goes bad it will not the engine to produce spark. Even dealerships miss this alot, don't know why, but alot of times these magnetic sensors go bad all of a sudden, and no one ever thinks about that sensor. I have replaced many of these on different cars for the same reason. I hope this helps dude.

more and likely water has gotten drowned out one of you coils . this was a problem for ford with water getting around the boots and killing the coil. you can have you check engine light scan at a advance or autozone for free. it should come up with a cylinder miss fire code. post back and let me know.

My 2003 Ford Expedition runs rough at idle and the service light started blinking.

it sounds like you need to tune up your vehicle. whenever the service light blinks it usually means you have a miss fire. You can take it to auto Zone to retrieve the code. The code should tell you what cylinder is miss firing.Hope this helps. Please leave comment.

CD/DVD player problem

If they use the same unit for the disk drive, if not, its probably coincidental that they both went out at same time.
its probably just a fuse or a shorted wire, or bad motor inside the driver its self, in any of which cases, it would probably be cheaper to replace them then to repair them. even if it is something that seems as meaneal as a $2 fuse inside it, the labor would be very skilled, anyone can change a fuse, but when opening up a piece of electronics, there are wires that can easily be torn apart if you open the casing to far, there are things that will pop out that are required to operate it, and you will never know where they are supposed to be, and once the fuse is replaced, then theres the excrusiating task of re-assembling it, I wouldnt want to do that process for less then $500, and thats just to help me forget about how frustrated I am going to be once I start, not even started charging for labor yet.
The only thing I can suggest doing, is, get a can of air and blow out the drive as best as you can and hope your problem is just some dust built up in the wrong spot. Its really hit or miss though, and without actually being there to diagnos the problem, I couldnt tell you without more detailed information.

O/D off light flashing

I am a retired Ford technician, so I have seen and know why the OD light is flashing, it indicates a problem with the transmission, it is no related to the DVD player in any way, have a parts store like Kragen or others run a scanner on the Van, there will be a trouble code stored that will give an idea of the problem with the van's transmission, post the code back on this thread and I will look at it and give you some idea of the problem and cost to fix it.

DVD player

well on mine, I have to turn off the sat. radio before the kids can watch dvd and I can only listen to radio or cd while they watching dvd. I don't even know if you are able to listen to dvd through them speakers, because it came with headsets. I know I am not big help, but I think you have to change something on the front radio. If nobody else can answer your question, than I will look tomorrow to see how I turn on my dvd player and tell you what I have to push.

Sorry
