  • colortecpdi Mar 20, 2009

well michman, talk to 2 really top techs both said the same thing today its the lock-up in the torconvorter. the fix is a complete flush of the tranny, drain the converter and change the filter. we will be using a flush machine also 20qrts should be enough. we will also add dr. tranny additive.

Michman, GOOD NEWS its fixed. the complete flush 25qrts till the machine stated 100% clean plus the additive dr. tranny. i put the car through a few temp cycles before i wrote back. the tranny pan was super clean very very little black residue on the magnet well within specs. the hydraulic power in the tranny is great the car just jumps to speed just like it was when new. WORD OF ADVICE TO ALL ALWAYS USE YOUR GUT AND YOUR POCKET BOOK AND ALWAYS FIND PEOPLE THAT HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE PROBLEM. REMEMBER YOUR NOT ALONE GUESSING IS NOT PROFESSIONAL AND TOOOO EXPENSIVE.. thx all

The PCM is programed for the LS engine parameters and now that you have changed engines the signal from the new engine are out of parameters> Either see if you can get the PCM reprogrammed at a dealership or purchase a new PCM and program the chip with the police engine interceptor to the vehicle> you may also return to the place where you got the engine and purchase the PCM for the police vehicle.
