Cant get my 2001 mitsubishi mirage to turn over lights come on batt is good

If the batt tests good, I'd check the solenoid. Bypass the solenoid by giving power directly to the starter motor. If the Engine turns over, your have a bad solenoid. If not you have a bad starter motor.

I own a 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage, ES. Battery is fully charge and car won't turn on. I'm able to listen to a slight click and it doesn't crank.

Even if the battery is fully charged, a dirty or loose connection could cause an interruption in the current flow to the starter. Make sure all connections are free of corrosion and properly tightened.

If, after doing this it still clicks, then your problem may well be a bad solenoid on the starter.

If this turns out to be the case, you can purchase a warrantied rebuilt (or new, if you prefer) starter at your local auto parts store.

Be sure to remember, if you change the starter, to disconnect the battery until the installation is complete, so as to not cause a short if a tool inadvertently touches bare metal while installing.

Good luck!

Having trouble removing crank pully on a 1997 mitsubishi mirage

TURN OFF RADIO TO KEEP FROM LOSING RADIO CODE DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE. YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE STARTER FLYWHEEL COVER THEN REMOVE STARTER.I WOULD GET A LARGE SCREW DRIVER WEDGE IT SOMEWHERE ON THE FLY WHEEL.MAKING SURE NOT TO DAMAGE ANYTHING IT WOULD STOP ENGINE FROM TURNING WHILE I LOOSEN THE CRANK PULLEY BOLT.

Starter removal in mirage 2000 1.8L

The starter is located by the firewall under the exhaust manifold. It is very hard to get to. Raise the air filter assembly out of the way and you can get at it from the top. Good luck!!!
