Question about 1984 Cadillac Eldorado
My left blinker stopped blinking about 2 weeks ago, it still turned on just wouldn't flash so i had to click it on and off if i wanted to turn. now the same thing is still happening except it wont go on at all on the rear and the break light on the left stopped as well. its a 1984 Cadillac Eldorado. i think its a bad ground connection but i don't know how to go about fixing it and don't have the money to pay someone to do it. can someone please tell me how to repair it i cant afford a ticket. thanks.
See if you can locate a wiring diagram for your vehicle. I have a 92 Seville and the wiring for the brakes and blinkers runs through the turn signal switch. The switch generally goes bad just from everyday use. They lose connection and you get intermittent problems (much like yours). Consult a wiring diagram, if they do run through the switch then I would recommend replacing that. Start there. Cheers.
