Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Alero
My 2000 alero's blinkers do not work all the time. Usually if I hit the flasher button when they won't turn on they start working again. What could this be and how can I fix it?
There was a recall for this type of problem. I had the same problem and changed the signal flasher, and switch, and still had the problem. Having the dealership address the recall issue fixed the problem for me.

You probably need a new signal flasher unit, it's easier to find when it's working, just follow the clicking noise. If that's not the problem, it could be the multi function switch, or possibly a broken wire from tilting the column up and down (if it has tilt) I would go with the flasher unit first to see if that fixes it.
