Agreed. There is a cheap tool at the automotive parts store that you can use to pop the panel clips off. Remove any screws that hold anything on...armrest, door handle cups....when you have all items removed, lift the panel in an upwards motion. You may have to wiggle and jiggle but keep lifting upwards. You will have to either carefully cut through the plastic that is adhered to the metal part of the door or pull it back. This exposes the door's internal parts.

Its a bit tricky. Take the trim panel off by removing the door handle then all screws you can find then the retainers around the sides and bottom of the door. The retainers require a special tool that can be bought at an auto parts store usually. Be careful as there are sharp edges that can cut you pretty BAD inside the door. Also there is spring tension on the window regulator.

You will remove all screws located on the door panel. Then, the panel can be remove by using a screwdriver and prying and/or poppping the panel away from the door. Be careful while doing so so as not to ruin or destroy the clips inserted inside of the door panel. In other words, the door panel has clips attached it to fasten it to the actual door.

2004 chevy classic power windows front passenger

It sounds like the front window has a bad window switch. Removing the switch panel is usually not that difficult. Look for a pry slot usually located at the back of the panel. Insert a small flat blade screwdriver and pry up on the panel. The switch panel should come out of the door panel. Next, locate the wiring harness for that switch. The switch panel can be tested as follows :
1. Connect a test light to one side of the harness and operate the window.
2. Do the same thing for the other side of the harness.
If the light comes on in one direction but not in the other, then the most likely cause is a faulty switch panel. Perform the same procedure for the rear window. If it lights in both directions, then the most likely cause is a bad window motor. If that is what it appears to be, then I can tell you how to test the window motor before replacing. Just give me a response back if you need to. I hope this information has been helpful and thank you for using Fixya.com.

Window motor needs replacing

It may be your track, not the motor. You would have to take the interior door panel off to check. I would look at this first because the track is a less expensive part to purchase.

Removing a door panel on a 1988 chevy C15 truck

There should be a couple of screws on the arm rest that you need to remove and probably one on the door handle then you need to find something to pry the panel off with, without breaking the plastic clips. They make a special tool for this that you can buy for just a few dollars at any auto parts store. If attempting to do it without the right tool be careful not to break the clips.

Drivers door panel removal

The book says 1. remove power accesory switch panel by using suitable flat blade tool at front. 2. Disconnet electrical connections.
3. pry door handle plug by using small flat bladed tool
4.remove door trim handle mounting screws
5. remove door trim panel from retainers.Start at rear bottom corner and pry outward.
6. remove door panel.
KD does make a tool that will properly pry the door panel away from reainers. KD 3705 You might get by with a screwdriver.
One other thing you may need to have the window down to get the panel to come off. You will have to lift up on it once it is loose from the fastners.
Hope this helps you out.

Rear passenger window just slides how do I get the door panel off

Well first take the mirror cover off. Then the roll up window handle if its manual. There is a star head behind the handle to open the door, remove that and unplug all wiring. Then behind the handle to close the door there is a cover, it has 2 screws, take those out and the rest is just plastic door clips just pull away from the door and they will start coming off.

2003 Chevy Malibu driver's window won't work

If it is a very loud noise, then it may be the window regulator. This is the assembly that the motor and glass bolt to. The door panel would have to come off to inspect.

Rear passenger electric window stuck in down position

That happened to mine, too. The cable that raises and lowers the window broke. I needed a new window motor assembly. If I recall, I got one used for less than $30, and I know I was able to replace it myself, curbside without special tools. You just need to make sure the window glass is taped up and unable to crash once you remove the old motor. The hardest part for me was figuring out how to remove the interior door assembly!
