Question about 2003 GMC Yukon XL

Yukon xl rear door won't unlock and there is no manual lock.

I have a yukon xl...the rear tailgate won't unlock with fob or inside electical lock button. I cannot find an inside release lock or door handle to try to open the door. There is not a key hole to unlock door on the outside either. My old suburban had an interior lock switch. This truck has nothing, therefore, my rear area is unusable until I can figure out what is going on.

I have the same problem on my 2005 GMC. I can't even hear the clicking unlocking noise with the remote unlock or the interior unlock button. Help.

    Thank you.

I fixed mine by using fine steel wool to clean the brass contacts located at the right upper door frame on the right door as viewed from the rear of the vechicle.

I have the exact problem described. I can't find any brass contacts on the door frame of any door. What door are you referring to? The liftgate is closed and locked, so I can't get to that door frame.

He has the doors, not the lift gate! The doors have contacts at the top!

It is not the locks, but the door switch that isn't activating.

2003 yukon 2rear doors and tailgate door wont lock manually or remotely if i tap on lock relay in fuse panel the doors will lock once and then no more, i replaced relay didnt help

Sometimes you need to look past the obvious. If it happens again, remove the fuse panel and check the wires where they join with the connectors for the relay... these are crimped connections and can easily corrode under certain conditions.
Glad you have it working again!!

2005 gmc yukon back passenger doors will not unlock with key remote and rear hatch wont unlock or open

Either the relay for the locks is bad or the fuse. When you push the power lock on the inside if the doors do not unlock then I would check the fuses, both inside and under the hood. If they do work then the relay/s may be bad. You are pushing your key button twice correct?

Rear doors and tailgate not unlocking

Remove the fuse panel on the driver side and find the door lock relays remove and replace the relays. Make sure they are seated in the fuse panel. That should fix the problem.
