I have a 1998 Chevy 2500 truck, why does it keep blowing the ecm1 fuse

A blown fuse means there is a fault. The fuse is designed to protect the wiring from damage. If it blows and when you replace it, it works for a while and then blows again, it means there is an intermittent fault. You need to take it to a specialist repairer.

1997 GMC Sierra, I keep blowing the ECM 1 fuse, I replaced Fuel Pump relay and Fuel Filter. Does the ECM 1 Fuse Pump the Fuel Pump, also disconnected the Fiter turned on the key and no fuel.

ecm1 is injectors not fuel pump ecm-b is fuel pump its more likely to be a faulty relay for the injectors, it would be a similiar design to this

I have a 2000 Hyundai Accent that keeps blowing the ECU 1 Fuse. I can change it one time and it will last for three weeks then before you know it I can change it 5 times in one day. What does the ECU 1...

The ECM1 fuse blowing usually indicates that the fuel pump wires shorted inside the tank. If you drop the tank and remove the module, you will probably find the insulation burned off the gray pump wire.

Keeps blowing ECM1 fuse

The first thing you should do is to locate the oil pressure switch/sending unit.

This switch serves two functions.

1) provide oil pressure reading

2) disable the fuel pump relay in event of oil pressure loss.

===

When this switch is failing to provide the correct pressure to the ECU. The wiring harness can overheat and eventually create a short.

ECM1 fuse blow is because the harness is grounding/shorting.

===

DO NOT drive the truck until you change the oil pressure switch.

After you change the switch,you should spend sometime to inspect the wiring between the fuel pump relay,ECU and fuel pump.

2001 Jimmy shut down while driving. The ECM1 fuse blew. Replaced fuse and it blew. disconected circuits related to ECM1 fuse. reconected one circuit at a time. Fuse did not blow and Jimmy started. Why?

The first thing you should do is to locate the oil pressure switch/sending unit.

It's a single wire terminal with plastic connect sensor from the engine block.
