2007 Kia Spectra changed oil, gas is in old oil, fixable?

2007 Kia Spectra   My son just changed the oil for me and said there is gas in the old oil and the dipstick is corroded.  What could be the cause? Is it fixable?  Car only has 19500 miles.

    Sounds like an internal engine issue. TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER!

Leaking fuel pump or a leaking head gasket.  Take it back to the dealer.

How to change rear disc brake pads on a 2007 kia spectra


First take of the caliper. Once you do that, take off the old pads. To get the piston pushed back, you have to turn the piston clockwise and push it in simataniously.

Turn off the maintenance indicator light


Please remove the battery connectors for 5 minutes and replace.

That should do the trick.

Does a 2007 kia spectra take regular coolant ? or does it use the aluminum engine type ?


The plain old green coolant is OK. Ethylene Glycol. It has to be Aluminum engine safe , but I think they all are nowadays.

Have the throttle body and the idle speed control valve cleaned, they get full of gunk and cause this concern.
