Not too familiar with Peugeot but every car I've worked on has a switch that's actuated by the brake pedal. look up underneath the dash near the brake pedal pivot point with a flashlight you should see a switch that is actuated when you push the brake. you may have a bad switch or wire, easy to check with a volt/ohm meter. it may even be misaligned. This can can also stop your shifter from moving out of park. If your brake lights don't come on one of the above is your problem. Hope this helps.

Light on dash of Fiat Ulysee coming on. It a

That light is telling you that your brakes are worn. There is a wire connected to the front brake pads, and when the brakes reach a certain point, they trigger the light. Sometimes the light is triggered prematurely if one of the wires breaks or gets disconnected. Either way, you should check your brakes. As for the Fiat lights being the same, you are mistaken with your particular vehicle. The Fiat Ulysse is actually made by Peugeot, and is identical to the Peugeot 806, the and the Citroen Evasion.

Brake lights

Brake lights are controlled by one of two means; a switch, normally located under the dashboard which is operated by the brake pedal suspension or a pressure sensitive switch that monitors the hydraulic fluid pressure of the braking system.
The first switch makes contact when the pedal is pushed, the second, when pressure rises in the braking system. .

Either way, the switch has probably failed or is the first type, the pedal is not returning all the way to its stop therefore leaving the mechanical switch in its 'on' mode.

Check for the mechanical switch first under the dash and press the brake pedal just with your hand while you are watching the suspension to see if when you let go of the pedal that it returns to its stop.
Once you let go of it, lift it to see if there is still a distance to the pedal stop.

I have seen this kind of switch get worn or sticky and prevent the pedal suspension from returning completely which will keep the brake lights on.

If you find no mechanical switch under the dash, locating a pressure switch is more difficult since it is likely under the hood and perhaps not easily seen.
You might need a Peugeot mechanic to locate it for you.
