SOURCE: replacing the battery in a 2001 mercedes benz

Battery base has a device that clamps the battery on a step/notch on the side. Use a ratchet with an extension to loosen. Once it is loose you can remove the battery.

SOURCE: where are the fuse boxes located ofr my 2002

A 2002 S500 actually has 3 differant fuse boxes.
2 of them are located under the engine hood, they are both against the firewall in the back corners of the engine compartment. The fuse box on the drivers side of the firewall has most of the common fuses in it.
The last one is located under the rear seat. There is a access panel below the passengers side rear seat, just unclip the plastic panel from the top.
Fuse chart can be found in the rear with the spare tire tools.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

Battery keeps going dead in my 2002 merced-benz S500

Then you have a device that remains powered even after the ignition key has been turned to off. The usual ones are the alarm and the radio, but there are also all the other devices that are left plugged in the cigarette lighter.
You will need to measure the current drawn from the battery with the key off. If the current is less than 100mA (normal value) then you need to replace the battery (it has aged) or check the alternator - its not charging. If the current is higher than 100mA then you have a faulty device - you will need to start disconnecting them till the current drops to normal levels to identify the failed one and replace it.

My 2000 Mercedes Benz S500 is dead- electronic key does not

It's not that unusual for a battery to fail that soon, and the "no lights, no nothing" says that it's the battery again. Your best bet at this point is to pull the battery and take it to the point of purchase for testing. They should either replace it under warranty or charge it for you. After you replace the battery you should have the charging/electrical system checked for possible shorts or power drains.

Look under your hood, you will find contact points for jump starting. If you have a battery charger, you can connect it to those jumper points, and that will give you enough juice to operate the trunk lock.
