We have replaced the tyres and no change the vibration is fast and increases as you accelerate and does slowly smooth out but I beleive it is just quickening the vibration until it eases but never goes away we even used some injecter cleaner hoping it would help

SOURCE: Sienna '99 vibration in driving after belts changed

very possible you might have a bad harmonic balancer ( crankshaft pulley). have that checked then go from there with replacing it.

SOURCE: engine vibrates at idle

you could have an ignition missfire, like a plug,wire,cap/coil problem.it could also be an injector problem dirty or plugged or not opening properly.these need to be checked out.it could be a compression problem in one or two cylinders like a bad piston ring or valve problem.poor fuel pressure and volume can also cause this type of problem.if the catalytic converter is partially or completly plugged as well.just places to start to find the problem.check for codes and data in the computer this may help find the problem

I have a 1997 Ford expedition Eddie Bauer edition that is vibrating when accelerating to a certain speed

could be a engine mount, any engine setting out of line will add more load to the engine mount movement, air leak in manifold, bad spark. it could als be something as simple as a thrown wheel balance or the balance on drive shaft balancer is out of sync, or missing.

Bad vibration when in gear but idle speed

I'm not sure exactly which vehicle you have so I'll try to be genera yet as specific as possible to help you determine the problem. I'm assuming here its a Gas Fuel engine.

1.) if its a carburetor type engine, You may need to adjust the RPM to increase or lower the Idle. Its commonly called the Ideal screw and adjust the air fuel ratio to stabilize the engine fuel mixture to increase the RPM.. its found on the Carburetor.

2.) ts fuel injected you will need to adjust the throttle body position to archive the same effect.

if it has a distributor , you can turn the distributor as well to adjust the RPM.

rough idling is usually caused by Mounts, since you changed yours the next most likely issue is the RPM itself or idling speed / rpm. If its to low you ill have that issue.

other possible cause is the distributor points (if any).. bad plugs, bad plug wires.. but those cause other issues while driving as well.

2007itsubishi spyder eclipse with vibration at idle when stopped at lights accelerate and vibration goes away

Hi Kris, The vibration could be from a number of places, more so as the engine has been replaced. I suggest you check the exhaust mountings, the exhaust covers, and exhaust mounts. Regards John

My toyota 110 car vibrates while on drive but not when in neutral at speed of 0. The vibration tends to increase when the car has warmed up. What could be the problem?

The most common problem for this type of vibration is worn engine and transmission mounts. The rubber gets hard in the mounts and it doesn't isolate normal engine vibration from the driver. Other factors come in here like a mechanical engine problem or a slow idle speed from a problem in the automatic idle speed control system. I suggest you have a local shop take a look at this and see if my guesses as to the cause are fact or fiction.

sounds more like a ujoint or a center support for the drive shaft. also check and make sure that the flywheel bolts have not come loose. also check the harmonic balancer and make sure it is not seperating

Vibrating Doors

You may need new motor mounts...if they are worn out this would allow additonal vibration from the engine to transfer to the vehicle body & doors . If it is 4WD then also check underneath for the center driveshaft mount. Higher mileage cars tend to have the mounts lose there ability to dampen engine movement upon engagement.

Any shop should be able to push on the brake and engage the transmission in drive or reverse and watch the whole vibration event happen.

Then it becomes a determination of which mounts to replace.
