You may have sucked water into the engine. Take the spark plugs out and try turning the engine over.

SOURCE: changing water pump on 1994 nissan quest

There is no easy way, water pumps are hard to change on this vehicle. Before starting the job I would buy a repair manual with step by step instructions. To give you some idea on how long it may take, the labor time is 4.5 hours for an experienced tech.

SOURCE: My 1996 nissan quest gxe

this alarm system is reset with the key being turned in the door, lock and unlock the driverside door and then see if it starts if not then do the same to the pass/side and see if it starts if it doesnt then you may have a bad starter, the best thing to do is check for power at the small wire on the starter if theres power to the small wire with the key in the crank postion and there should be power on small wire if there is then replace the starter, hope this helps.

Will the starter be the reason 2000 nissan quest gxe will not start and how to fix or replace ?

if the engine turns over but does not start it's not the starter. If you hear a clicking sound and the engine does not turn over or start then it's the battery.
