Sometimes you can find a used ECU at a wrecking yard. If they have the ECU, they probably have everything you need. Not sure why you would need a new immobilizer or cluster. I would try just swapping out the ECU. The guys at the salvage yard may know more advice. Good luck. By the way, you can find parts like this at car-part.com. It will use your zip code to find the one closest to you.

I think you already know the answer, based on what you described. Your ignition switch appears to be worn beyond usability. It is also unsafe, as it could just as easily cause the car to stop while running (similar to the mess GM is in today). I recommend replacing the ignition switch as soon as you can.

My 1984 nissan 300zx starts right up but after about 30 seconds shuts off

Sounds like something is loading up extra power to the ECU, or corrupting the operating instructions loaded into the ECU.

The die out sounds like when the car gets out of "cold start loop" and hands the job over to another another part of the computer system.

I think I might go to Autozone.com and get a free wiring and fusebox diagram. This is free after you register your car on their site.

Look for Ignition Relays or the ECU relay and replace the relay. Could be generating a short and erase operating instructions.

You could also try to find out if the ECU is programmable or is READ only. The info may only need to be reentered into the ECU if it was corrupted.

Check the connections to the ECU, as installing the new ECU was not as important as renewing the connection on the dirty plugin socket.

I hope my solution is helpful, please rate the info.

I would say to go to Autozone.com and register your vehicle for free wiring and fuse box diagrams.

Then do a dedicated search of the diagnostic plug to the ECM. There is also the possibility of a bad Torque converter.

There should be a pressure port the mechanic can test to see what the Torque converter is doing. Before the shift solenoids can work, they need pressure to turn the transmission. The Torque converter will likely not show up on an electric test, except for its Lockup device. The Torque Converter is simply a Hydraulic pump that needs to work for the transmission to turn normally.

Well its posted what make of vehicle this is so i would hazard either a coil pack or a faulty sensor throwing up a fault withing the ECU but best advice is to ask a local mechanic to have a look for you

What does a 5E19 ECU fault code mean?

ECU means Emission Control Unit. This is the computer and you need the OBDII to read the code. That code itells you where is the problem of your car. Only mechanic has this device. You can get your own too. Its only $65.00. Shop to online more cheaper. It is neccessary to have this device so that you know what you are telling when you go to the mechanic. They can not cheat you You can use this too to reset the computer. So very usefull for the cars. ok.

Fuel conumption too high toyota camry dx 1990 model

just an idea... install a free-flow air filter like a K&N brand filter for example & then get the air flow meter adjusted again... if you can afford it, a shop with a dynamometer & performance tuning skills will be able to do the best job for you. there may be a user-adjustable ECU available for your model so you can set it up for economy by you as needed too...
