Re: Need to install a passenger side mirror on my 1992...
Remove the door panel, one screw at the inside handle and one at the door pull hole, one plastic screw clip under mirror, use universal window crank removal tool to pop out a wire thin horse shoe shaped clip from the window crank if you loose it you can get another at the auto parts store for 50 cents. Gently pry off door panel, gentley pry off inside mirror cover from the top. Remove three screws to remove outside cover, Install mirror using 8mm head size nuts, reinstall.

It's damn near impossible without the right tools. But it should be located on pass side. close to the wheel. You might have to lift engine up or have a really hard time trying to squeeze your hands throught the little opening in between fender & motor.
If you go to a parts house, they can order you a mirror face for around 10 to 15 dollars. It simply sticks to the mirror that is broken with adhesive. It is very permanent and if the mirror is still working and in tact mostly (only broken glass part) it should fix you right up. Look at autozone, oreillys, or even JC Whitney or Pep Boys for example. Been there Done that! :-)Hope that helps.. Thanks!
I dont know where do you live, but honda civic 1992 don use carburator, they are fuel injection, you can have coolant temp sensor problem, or map sensor problem, run diagnose jumping the diagnose wires loated in the passenger side, kick panell close to the door wall, better get the repair book in the parts store to locate the conector ,and read how you can run the diagnosis
hey, I replaced a mirror on a 2002 civic lx coupe.
1) Pry off the small pastic traingular piece from the interior of your door.
2) Disconnect the wiring to the mirror
3) There will be 3 bolts that attach the mirror to the car, remove these and the mirror can be removed. To put on the new mirror just do everything in reverse
Just make sure you order the right mirror, I accidentally order the mirror for the sedan model the first time and they are not interchangable.
