SOURCE: I have a ford f250

Sounds like an ECU issue.  check your fuses, see if you can get an error code from a scanner, they have one at most checker auto stores that you can use for free.  Could be a Intake Air Temp sensor or a Throttle Position Sensor.  Thats what I would start with.  Good luck.

Why does the system fuel light keep coming on my Toyota landcruiser workmate 70 series 2009 year car

Check the lines good and change the fuel filters. Look for line leaks, holes, or poor fittings on all ends. You may be sucking in debris within the lines and this could be a problem. Also water in the lines or bad gas can damage filter and pumps. Use Gas additives.

Drain water separator light on, will not start

for water to drain out there has to be a means for the fuel to be replaced. most probably the fuel didn't flow in as the water ran out so air got in as the water was coming out. That means that you will have to bleed the air out of the fuel system the same as if you changed a filter.

Try using a can of seafoam with your diesel fuel if there is any water in it this will take care of it.Get your fuel at another station just in case they did'nt change their filters like they're suppose to.

The last few days, some light came on shows WATWE in FUEL.

water in fuel, drain the water out of the fuel filter by releasing it through the valve on the bottom of your fuel filter. unscrew the valve on the bottom of primary fuel filter, you have 2 fuel filters. one is primary, one is secondary. you did'nt specify what engine,or what year, but will try to assist you anyway. drain the water out of the primary fuel filter by draining the water out of the primary fuel filter, you will see a pep **** valve under the fuel filter, turn it counterclockwise until you see the fuel coming out, after you drain that fuel filter drain the 2nd one. this will solve your fuel issues for now.but i do suggest you replace those 2 filters. you can prime the filters with transmission fluid in order to restart the engine. i have u.s.m.c. training in heavy equipment, ooooraaahhh.if you know this,,, you'll know #1 we never leave a man behind.wish you the best. thank you for choosing fixya.com

I own a 2008 dodge ram diesel 6.7 has a lightning symbol in the middle of this ) ( and a check gauges message when this comes on.

The indicator you see is call a water in fuel warning lamp. ==== This a very important warning and you will need to take corrective action ASAP. ==== As a diesel owner, you need to know diesel fuel can attract moisture. When condensation (water droplets) collect inside the fuel tank,it will contaminate the diesel. ==== The corrective action is to locate the drain **** on the fuel filter and CAREFULLY drain the water from the bottom of the filter housing. (with engine off / key out) ==== The water in fuel warning light will go off as soon as the water is drained. ==== Use one bottle of RED Iso-Heet to remove any additional water inside the fuel tank.mustgo_54.jpg

I have a 1992 Chevy Silverado 4x4 wit a 6.5 liter diesel that is hard to start when cold and tends to stall and seems to miss quiet a bit. Could this be due to water in the fuel? I think I saw somewhere...

could be water in the fuel as condensation will form in the tank from the hot return fuel in the cold fuel tank
there should be a water drain on the bottom of the fuel filter
If you don't have one , then get a filter that has the water separator as part of the unit
Now for your problem
hard starting of diesels comes from
slow cranking speed ( battery too low in charge)
faulty injectors ( squirting and not atomizing--- replace injectors
tips of the injectors damaged by the water in the fuel
glow plugs not working
one way to stop water in diesel is to keep the tank as full as possible to keep moisture laden air out on the tank
the water drain should be activated at least weekly

WIF light comes on and off sporadically causing engine to idle down. drained HCFM? problm still comes and goes. this has been going on for quite some time. light does not stay on, ever. even glow plug...

Your engine should be the 6.0, where did you drain water from? The place to drain water is the fuel pump on the rail. The only way to get the water out is to remove the allen-head screw that you will see halfway down the electric fuel-pump, on the bottom-side. Let me know if that is what you see and how it went. Also if we are are talking about the same fuel system your fuel filter kit should include two fuel cartridge filters.
