Question about 1998 Isuzu Rodeo
The vehicle could not idle when started it stops by itself so it does not move, the mechanics said it was the pump in the gasoline we replace it with a brand new one yet the car couldn't move; we went for computer diagnostice test and the computer provided the following codes: p0355, p0452, p0453 and p0463 neither I nor the mechanics working on the car knows what the codes mean. The garage that ran the diagnostics says we have to change the entire wiring system of the car by odering it from the USA for $800USD. Unfortunately I do not have that amount and I do not want to scrap the vehicle. So I'm opting for a repair solution and the meaning of the codes. Please help me I'm in the Republic of Liberia, West Africa. Thanks

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

This is a complex problem.
Do you have any repair record of the Rodeo LS?
When is the last
ignition module change?
fuel pump change?
fuel filter change?
DO YOU TOP OFF during gas refuel?
DO NOT DO IT
Are you able to get the OBD-II codes off the ECU?
I will check fuel rail pressure first to rule out the fuel pump
add Chervon fuel injector clear and fill gas to above 1/2 tank
locate the ignition module and apply GOOD amount of white lithium grease to help it from over heat.
When the truck stall again check the temperature of gauage......Engine should be below 195F
Let the module cool and see does it ran well again.

Your SUV is really giving you a hard time, lol. Sorry but I've had those days too.
I would try to check if you have blocked EGR passages. If ok check for restricted MAP sensor vacuum hose/passage or restricted exhaust. I know you replaced the CAT but if the muffler is blocked then there would still be a restriction. Also check the wiring and connection to the MAP sensor.

SOURCE: 2002 rodeo isuzu for car
This vehicle has what is called fly by wire with an electronic throttle body. This vehicle particularly has had problems with poor grounds at the intake manifold and broken wires by the connector at the throttle body. The best solution would be to have an expert properly diagnose the problem with his special equipment.
