Pully belt has come off. How do I put it back on?

IT RAN HOT AND BLEW THE HEAD GASKET. HER ANSWER WAS TO ADD OIL AFTER THE FACT. OF LITTLE HELP. DO A COMPRESSION CHECK BEFORE BEGINNING REPAIRS. MAY GIVE SOME INSIGHT ABOUT RINGS THE HEAD WILL NEED TO GO TO A MACHINE SHOP FOR MILLING AND MAGNAFLUX. IF THE HEAD IS GOOD HAVE THEM ADD THE VALVE SEALS. CHECK CAM TOWERS CAREFULLY THEY OFTEN ARE IN BAD SHAPE AFTER RUNNING HOT.

Why won't my 1994 Subaru shift gears after replacing clutch?

There is not enough information as to the problem but if you cannot get 1st gear as it grates then thge clutch plate is in the wrong way around. If the problem is that there is no gear selection at all then when yopu replaced the gear lever and turret into the top of the box you have missed the cross slot that allows you to move the gear lever from side to side. If that is the case remove the turret and use a lever to align all the selector rails so that all the grooves line up in a straight line ,then refit the turret ensuring that the end of the gear lever goes into that slot.

How to take off a gear selector box from gear box got half inch away but just no further

You have to undo the 4 bolts that hold the selector turret on top of the box as the gear lever is fitted from underneath it . IT should just be a matter of lifting the turret off the selector rail groove.. Make sure that you are in neutral first as the end of the lever may be stuck under the side of the opening.

Kiwa Knh 400 Milling machine wiring diagram

It would strike me that pressure may not be the problem. Do you have a float switch in your coolant resivoure? Also if it is the pressure switch I fail to understand what the question would be. I would replace the switch rather than damage the machine. If there is more info you can share I have 44 years of industrial electrical experiance and I think I can help.

I am trying to fix the thermostat on my car and don't know how to get to it.

Locate the radiator and the top hose that connects to it. Follow the hose back to the engine and the turret shaped thing it connects to. The coolant thermostat is inside this turret housing. Drain the coolant first and then remove the housing bolts, take care not to damage the gasket beneath as this can be reused

Blown head gasket

yeah probably aluminum heads too. Finding a good used head is pretty hard. Some /most machine shops will mill the bottom of the head but ignore the top where the cams are. so the warped head now has a flat bottom that will likely bend some more and the cams are on a super high wear streak due to binding from the warpage. Make the machine shop bend the head back flat first and then touch up the bottom with the milling machine. Make them show you that the cam fits perfectly flat(no rocking) with the caps OFF and the lifters/rockers removed.
Then use a Corteco headgasket NOT Felpro.
You will love the result. and it will last. Keep in mind that cars with aluminum heads can't tolerate overheating like the old iron heads could.

Adjustable height head gasket, what does it mean?

Sorry, but there is no such thing. You sound like you are dealing with a common problem with that engine, which is the headgasket failure. No other way around this other than to remove the head (may as well rebuild it while you've gone that far), and install a new headgasket. Because most of these heads had been exposed to overheating, you should have the machine shop check for warpage and "adjust" by milling the surface height. Be prepared to spend approx 1800 to 2200 for this job including the machine shops' cost (600-800) to rework the head.

Cracked Head???

not necessarily be a cracked head but this is an indication that the head gasket is blown out
the only way to tell if its a cracked is by a machine shop milling the top layer off the head this will show in a milling that you do or you dont have a cracked head

if its cracked head you have several options dealer head brand new
remanufactured head from any auto parts store
junk yard head 50/50 chance that these heads are cracked too

mostly i think right now its just a bad head gasket have them replace both head gaskets when they do the heads better for vehicle so you dont have to run into problem again with head gaskets
