You have to remove the door panel first then unplug the mirror and remove the screws from the mirror and then put the new one on going in reverse you can try to see if they have your car listed for diagrams pictures and step by step instructions if your car is not listed then try your local library they have all the car manuals and even copy them for you

How do I replace a outside minor on a 2005 ford Taurue

There are three bolts that hold it on. PLus the wiring. The triangle above the door panel pops loose, behind the mirror bracket. Be careful, it has a tab that goes down behind the door panel. Pop it loose, you can pull it down far enough to access the 10mm nuts.

If the fuse is OK, remove the mirror again and look for a broken wire that you disturbed when you had it apart. If the fuse is blown, look for a pinched or shorted wire.

Mirrors not responding

Sometimes the mirrors outside may have been pushed all the way by hand to one side on a Ford and it's as simple as you lightly pushing it by hand, then move the switch on the inside. A kid or car wash may have pushed it in hard and it's hung.
