Craftmatic bed stopped working

remove the motor

Sounds like a bad ground, jump a wire from negative batt terminal to a good bare metal spot on the bed of the truck, (where the latch grabs is one of my favorite spots) if all starts to work you need to ground the bed, if not time to check for power(fuses,connections, poorly installed trailer light connector) let us know what you find!

Rod allways star twith a good ground also take a test light start where you have voltage and where it stops it could be a section of bad wire ford was famous for that

Can't say for sure since you did not include year of your car but more than likely it's the fuel sending unit that requires replacement. Some years you can replace just the level sensor on the fuel sending unit but both repairs involve dropping the gas tank and opening to remove the fuel sending unit.
