There is a switch under your break padal, which is responsible for tail lights and gear lock. if that switch is working fine and your tail lights are working fine then check the electronic lock of gear which is under the cover of gear.

If this car is a automatic you should need to push the shiftlock button to change out of park this is a safety feature
