Question about 1999 Chevrolet Lumina
How do you go about it?
Hot or cold does not matter, except for comfort. Pliers, fingers etc all the same as long as you can pull it out. Some valves are screw in on one end but this should be obvious (no rubber grommet).

if you fallow the hose comming out of air filter assembley it should lead you to the pcv valve the hose goes to the pcv and should come right off then you take the pcv valve out of the valve cover by just pulling it out and replace it with a new one

Remove it from the valve cover,by twisting and pulling on it,then remove the vacuum line going to it,install it in reverse order.
