Question about Dodge Ram 1500
2 weeks ago replaced all 16 plugs, rained like crazy 2 days ago, day after the rain took the truck to the store and stalled on the way there. Got the truck started and made it to the store. On the way home stalled twice and after it set for 5-10 minutes each time it would start again. I replaced the crank sensor and it was no help. The code is calling out P 0688, I checked the relay fuses and all are good. I did notice that the radiator cap was loose and fluid had over flowed out. Tightened the cap but nothing changed.
Most likely crank sensor on top or right side of transmission is bad. tap on sensor lightly to see if vehicle starts.

ok when the check engine light comes on that usually indicates a engine malfunction...what you can do is go to your local autozone and they can do an OBDII test for free..my bet says it is the cam or crank sensor.. DO NOT SHUT THE CAR OFF AT AUTOZONE..LOL

There are to many things that can cause the no start. Here is a link that can help you understand the possible problems and links to how to retrieve the DTC codes which is activating your Auto Shutdown relay.
Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted http://www.allpar.com/fix/stall.html
