I CHECKED THIS ISSUE OUT FOR YOU. ALL YOU ARE REQUIRE TO DO IS REPLACE THE LOW BEAM.. GO TO ANY ADVANCED ATUO PARTS STORE AND PICK UP FOR ABOUT$13.. WHEN INSTALLING THE NEW LOW BEAM USE A RAG, OR CLOTH TO HANG ON THE GLASS OF THE NEW BULB..YOU CANT USE YOUR FINGERS TO PUT THE NEW BULB IN, THE OILS OFF OF YOUR FINGER TIP WILL MESS WITH THE LIFE OF THE NEW LOW BEAM... SHOULD BE A VERY SIMPLE TASK.. GOOD LUCK KEITH...

2001 grand caravan low beam light not working. i chang bulb already i check fuse already.

Hi Every single time I have had a failure of low beam in a headlight without failure of high beam, it has been because the lamp bulb or halogen lamp module has reached the end of its serviceable life, not because of any wiring problems. Low beam burns out first because it is on the most. If low beam is lost simultaneously in both headlights, I would check fuse first, then the headlight switch. If low beam is lost on one side only, it is almost always going to be due to the bulb or lamp module needing to be replaced. In that case, replace them in both headlights because the other one will be going kaput in short order, as well. Also if you already replaced the fuse and bulb check the headlight dimmer control switch.
Thanks for using Fixya.

I only have high beam headlights. I have replaced the light bulbs and checked the fuses. All the other lights work.

about troubleshooting your headlights on your vehicle. I would isolate the wire that comes from the headlight switch to the headlamp bulbs for low beam and check to see if there is a short in the wire. You can find this wire by using a test light turn on the key and get a good ground with the test light poke the wire and see if the test light illuminates with the headlight switch on. ---- Also check the wires, and check the fuse for your low beams. could of blown a fuse on your lows, but your highs will still work.

There is something to check. Does the low beam relay click when you turnt he low beams on?
if it does not click then
Then find the BCM at the base of the steering column. In there find the grey connector and in there, find the pink/white wire in terminal A4. Use a wire to jump that wire to ground. IF the low beams come on, then it is likely the BCM is bad.
Also check a bad wire between the fuse block and the BCM. before replacing the BCM . Start under the fuse block. This is the fuse block under the hood.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

How do you change the low beam headlight bulb?

You will have to remove the headlight assembly to whichever side is burneed out. It is a halogen bulb that gets replaced not the entire assembly. Careful not to touch the new bulb with your fingers as this will cause premature failure of the bulb.

Low beam, driver's side headlight out. Bulb, fuse or entire apparatus replacement? I have the same problem, low beam, driver's side headlight is out but I can't figure out how to get the bulb out to...

The low beam bulb needs to be replaced. Go to an autozone store as they will sell you the bulb, and even assist you in their parking lot with installing it.

Burned out headlight/bulb bmw 1991 325i 2dr

It's a bulb replacement. If it's anything similar to my Audi, there is a cover on the back of the headlight housing that you pop off. Then you can reach in, pull the wire connector off the bulb, and unclip a metal retainer over the bulb, and pull the bulb out. Installation of the new one is the reverse. Just be SURE not to touch the glass part of the bulb. Skin oils can cause a halogen bulb to burn very hot and burn out very quickly. If you do touch the glass, wipe it gently but thoroughly on a cotton cloth to clean it off before you install it.

Low Beam Headlight

This is a bulb and is very easy to replace. You might want to buy a pair since other side will go out soon also. Simply twist connector behind light system, pull and replace bulb. good luck
