The airbag light on our 97 bmw came on a couple days ago and won't go out

1st when the airbag light is on the system is disabled, so if u have an accident they will not work, as to the common cause read below.
When the airbag light is on it means a fault has occurred in the system and the airbag diagnostic monitor has disabled the system, the most common problem that turns the light on is a break in the connection to the steering wheel mounted airbag, this is due to a rotating ribbon contact that breaks under the steering wheel that connects the airbag to the wiring harness and the diagnostic monitor, the part is called th clock spring contact, a coiled up ribbon electrical contact that turns with the wheel

How can I figure out why fuse 15A keeps blowing? My dashboard lights don't work nor do the back lights. My breaks and signals work but at night when I turn the car on the regular lights in the back...

There is a shorted wire somewhere in that circuit. Check to see if any wires are pinched under a bracket or brace where he was working. I have seen it where it was a light bulb the was bad. Need someone familiar with a volt/ohm meter to help trace problem. Good Luck. You did not state where he had been working.

What is the timing setting on a 2000 ford ranger 3.0 v6

The timing belt syncs everything in your motor to work at the same time, the spark plug ignites, the turns the piston, then turns the cam then turns the transmission...all have a certain timing that each one needs to take place and if that is out of whack your car won't work properly, timing belts should be changed every 50k miles. most likely won't be able to do it on your own because the engine mounts need to me removed in order to get a new belt on and you need a timing light as well. Spend the 400 - 500 bucks to have someone do it, if it breaks it could cost around 1200

My wiper blades won't turn off f 350. 2006

Probably in the switch..But another place to check is the ground to the GEM module..Pull the kick panel on the driver side, where the parking brake is..Once you remove the panel ,there is a small ground wire that often breaks and can make the wipers act crazy and make the dome light acted up as well..Ive seen it twice

Tail lights won't go out, even when van is off. Help

Look under the dash, follow the brake peddle untill you find a switch, it's the brake light switch, try adjusting it (it moves in and out of a plastic insert, may take a little pressure to move) there should be two wires that connect to the switch, when the brake peddle is not in used the switch breaks the circiut, push the button on the switch, brake lights should go out, if not, check for power, replace if nessasary
