SOURCE: car idles rough and stalls

Have you ever changed the fuel filter? If it's not that, and it's not a vacuum leak, it is probably your idle air control valve.

SOURCE: engine idles and starts ok but stalls out whenn u give it throttle

If the fuel filter does not work, it may be the AIR CONTROL VALVE BOARD which is part of the electronic fuel ignition. I am going through this right now, and found that the "new" ones cost $600 and the used ones are $200, but when you get a used one, you take your chances, so ask for a money back guarantee from the mechanic, or their pledge to put in another one at no additional charge if the first one you get is a bad one the first time, because they are all 20 years old now...

SOURCE: My expedition will not idle after start up unless

Behind the engine where the IAC motor is there is a three dollar
rubber elbow that dry rots and leaks causing a vaccum leak.
In cinjunction with this problem you should also have a check engine light PO161 adaptive fuel system lean bank 1. Once you
replace the elbow or you can buy the new elbow and pcv assembly
for like 13 bucks at ford clear codes and youll be good to go....

SOURCE: 1997 sebring will only start when opening throttle and dies immed

DO NOT TOP OFF when you fill up.

Few ounce of gas in the EVAP system will cause this problem.

Move your car outdoor.

Disconnect the hose to the charcoal canister.

Let it vent overnight.

Re-connect next morning.

This should vent all the fuel out of the EVAP system.

DO NOT TOP OFF when fuel up.

99 eclipse 2.0 N/A erratic idle, low idle , sometimes doesn't even idle when started it just dies unless you give it fuel. Have replaced throttle position sensor 6 times. What else can cause it?

If check engine light is on get the codes. The best that can be done is a guess without them my best guess would be idle air control motor (IAC).

2003 subaru 2.5 litre automatic wont start

The hum is likley your fuel pump priming the fuel delivery system. I would start looking at the wiring coming from the Throttle Position Sensor. With the key in the ON position, you should be getting a 12vDC (or a little higher) signal to one wire and an excellent ground on another (usually the center if there are 3). If you are missing a good ground or the 12v signal, there lies your problem. Good luck.

The engine computer controls idle speed through the idle control valve. Sometimes the air passages this valve controls get gunked up and don't perform well, don't let enough air through. Cleaning them out may help, also give a good cleaning to the throttle body assembly. Use a throttle body cleaner, a good sensor safe cleaner, not regular carburetor cleaner.

Engine starts but will not idle, i give it gas but will not sustain in running afyer 2 seconds engine dies

check all spark plugs and wires also check mass air flow senser located on intake tube if all is still in good working condition check the throttle position sensor if that is good then it may be your fuel pump please update when possable.
