There are multiple things that can cause P1173, from faulty oxygen sensors to a vacuum leak, a leak in a pcv hose, even an aftermarket K&N style air filter can mess with the engine computer, making it send out false codes. What have you tried so far?

P0421 and 431 are faulty catalytic converter codes for the warm up cats. If the 02 sensor code came AFTER heating and testing it, it may be damaged

Code 300 is a generic code for a random miss, no specific cylinder.
Code 301 would be for cylinder one, 302 is cylinder two, and so on.
Four digit codes are brand specific, and I don't find anything for GM but that's not to say the code is not used for GM cars. If it is a fuel trim problem, it could be caused by the miss.
There is a good chance the main problem is one of the injectors rather than ignition.

I've got a 95 Mazda Millenia that is flashing 7 codes, and will not shift into the highest gear.. could it be electrical.. A sensor codes are Po400 p1521 p1522 po740 po730 p1173 p1170. several days ago, I...

0400 is an EGR issue.
1521 is VRIS Solenoid '1' Circuit
1522 is VRIS Solenoid '2 Circuit
0740 is Torque Converter Clutch Circuit/Open
1173 is HO2S Bank 2 Sensor 1 Circuit Fixed (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
1170 is HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Circuit Fixed (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
You know straight away which codes to ignore and which one is causing the problem when you read them off. If in order, EGR we can ignore. The solenoids will not work with no Torque convertor pressure. Start there.

Code 1173

The generic data trouble code P1173 is for (rotor calibration fault), the distributor might not be clocked in right and the ignition rotor is not pointing exactly where the computer wants it be.

P1173

It's probably a fuel pump issue. Sounds like it's not giving the engine enough fuel.

Three trouble codes

Trouble Code: P0421

Catalyst Efficiency Below Normal (Bank 1)

Possible Causes:

Air leaks at the exhaust manifold or in the exhaust pipes
Catalytic converter is contaminated, damaged or has failed

Front HO2S and/or the rear HO2S is loose in the mounting hole

Front HO2S older (aged) than the rear HO2S (HO2S is lazy)

Front HO2S or rear HO2S is contaminated with fuel or moisture

Trouble Code: P1173

HO2S-21 (Bank 2 Sensor 1) Circuit Malfunction

Possible Causes:

Base engine mechanical fault affecting one or more cylinders

EVAP Purge valve stuck or the hoses to the valve are reversed

Fuel metering fault (fuel injector sticking open or leaking)

Fuel pressure too low or too high, fuel supply contaminated

HO2S element is contaminated or the HO2S heater has failed

PCV system has air leaks at the valve or related hoses

Trouble Code: P0174
Adaptive Fuel Trim Too Lean (Bank 2)

Possible Causes:

Vehicle driven low on fuel or until it ran out of fuel

One or more injectors restricted or pressure regulator has failed

Fuel delivery system supplying too much or too little fuel during cruise or idle periods (e.g., faulty fuel pump, or dirty fuel filter)

Air leaks after the MAF sensor, or air leaks in the PCV system

Air leaks at the EGR gasket, or at the EGR valve diaphragm

Exhaust leaks before or near where the front HO2S is mounted

HO2S is contaminated, deteriorated or it has failed

Fuel control sensor is out of calibration (i.e., ECT, IAT or MAP)

Base engine -mechanical- fault affecting one or more cylinders
