If you're seeing blue smoke it's from oil burning and indicates bad valve guide seals. At idle the engine vacuum is high and sucks oil through the valve guides. If it's white smoke it's from burning coolant in the cylinders indicating a cracked head or leaking head gasket.

E 280 w211 runs fine. Recorded 59.3 mpg on long run at 65mph in cruise. If left on tickover for a few mins ie junction or traffic lights blue smoke from exhaust. Car does not burn oil

Bad valve stem seals will cause smoke under these circumstances. It will get worse. The reason this happens is because the higher engine vacuum present in traffic will pull oil past the worn valve stem seals into the cylinder. When you accelerate again, the engine burns this small amount of oil causing the smoke.

I have water in my carborater now its not running well

First drain the fuel tank , fuel lines and drain the oil while its draining , put a fan on the wiring and dry it out. Take the plugs out of the engine and turn the motor over this will force any water that's left in the cylinder out .Water that's got in to anyother parts of the engine will come out with oil Add oil to the engine and turn it over again ,without the plugs in .Let it sit for 5 minutes .then check the oil to see if there's water in it ( If there is it will look like a white milky substance ) if there is u need to drain it and start all over again u will have to keep doin this untill there is no white in the oil . Now once u have done this re-install spark plug, add the gas , then try to re start . If it starts. Leave it to run for a good few mins BUT don't rev it .
After it runs for a few mins turn it off re-drain the oil and change the filter .run again for few mins, turn off check the oil again for. A milky colour if there's none yippy uv done it if it dosent start u need professional help good luck

I accidently put antifreeze instead of oil in engine

Drain it IMMEDIATELY!!! It could remove all of the protection your engine uses to keep it from wearing out. Be prepared to spend alot of money on oil to flush out the antifreeze! Also get a few oil filters! The first wash is CRITICAL....After you have let the engine drain OVERNIGHT, leaving the old filter off, Put back the drain plug and mount the new filter, and add the new oil. Run the engine until it is at operating temperature. Turn it off...drain it while HOT and pull the filter while hot (Use Gloves to keep from burning yourself). Let it drain overnight again. Repeat the process above running the car for 24 hours, then for 3 days, then for 1 week. After that last drain, you should be ready to see what damage was caused...hopefully not much if you didn't drive it too far...

You have overheated the engine, check the engine cooling fan operation there is a problem I suspect.

Alot of noise coming from altanator..battery will

One quick way to check the alt. is when it is running discounect the pos. cable and if the engine dies it is a bad alt. If it stays running it's good. Let me know if this was helpful.

Can i take the engine out of my 01 rio without pulling the tranny the engine blew the timming belt, i need to pull the engine due to damage, but I do not have a lot of expereince with these ft wheel drive...

you can but it is alot more work on you. you would be better off pulling both trany and motor, you will not have to fight with it as much and will do less damage to anything important, pulling the half shafts is not that much work it takes about 30 min and just unhook the wires to the trany and the rest is down hill from there. trust me in the long run you will be glad you did.
