With most all new cars to get a new key programed to work for all functions you have to go to the dealership of the vehicle to get it. If you go to a local mechanic, they too still have to go and get it from the dealer and will charge you more for it.

SOURCE: I'm from South America and

To convert BCM serial number to 4 digit pin code, there is one software available online. With this software you can get the serial number converted to pin number.----------- To get this software, please click the link below:--- http://ecuobd.com/Show.aspx?PID=164 -------------- And also for programming the key,m the tool is available.this tool is called TKO Transponder Key Programming Tool.To know more about this tool, click the link below:--- http://www.plsgroup.com/(zt53ppqezu4zj43wylgtfiyb)/R&H/PDFs/tko_sdd_guide.pdf -------------

FOR Titan:--- • The module is located under the dash to the right of the steering column. The 5 digit code is right next to the bar code. ------------------ These Nissan vehicles require the use of the 5523 PIN number. -------------2004 Nissan vehicles can be programmed with the TKO device, and the 5-digit pin number can be retrieved from BCM module. This PIN number is now vehicle specific and must be obtained from the Nissan dealership. the Ilco aftermarket key blanks must be replaced with original Nissan keys for use with these new vehicles. ---------TKO owners must be aware that when adding new Transponder keys to Nissan vehicles, all existing keys must also be present for programming. If a customer requires a new key to be added to their vehicle and they already have three keys programmed to that vehicle, all four keys must be present when the locksmith begins programming. If the three original keys are not presented along with the new key, they will be eliminated from the car's memory and replaced by only the new key. All three keys can be reprogrammed and accepted by the vehicle at a later date.-------------------
1. Nissan products in this country use two different software versions. 2.0 on earlier models and 5.0 on later models. The TKO is capable of programming both kinds of vehicles.---------- 2. When programming vehicles that require the use of a non-OBDII cable (D723513ZB) TKO users must be sure that they connect their TKO to the gray diagnostic port on the vehicle. This port is shaped differently from the white OBDII port and can typically be found to the left of the driver's left shin. These Nissan vehicles do not require the use of a PIN number.---------- 3. When programming vehicles that require the use of the Nissan Adapter (D724649ZB) users must be sure that they connect their TKO to the white OBDII diagnostic port on the vehicle. The adapter must be used in conjunction with the standard OBDII cable (D922876ZR). These Nissan vehicles do not require the use of a PIN number.--------- 4. When programming vehicles that require the use of the standard OBDII cable (D922876ZR) only, users must be sure that they connect their TKO device to the white OBDII diagnostic port on the vehicle. ----------------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech. ------

How to program a new alarm remote

Transmitter Programming
No Tools Required
In the event that a transmitter is lost, program the old and the new transmitters into the memory of the remote control door lock receiver. Up to 4 transmitters may be programmed.

Important
Once the keyless entry receiver enters the programming/diagnostic mode, the programming of the first transmitter erases all previous transmitter programming information. You must then program all of the transmitters.

Program only 1 vehicle remote control door lock receiver at a time. If you program multiple receivers simultaneously, the same transmitter could possibly be programmed to more than 1 remote control door lock receiver.

Perform the following steps:

Sit in the vehicle driver's seat.
Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
Close all of the vehicle's doors.
Remove the MALL PGM fuse from the fuse panel. Refer to Electronic Diagnosis in Body and Chassis.
Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the ACC position.
Turn the ignition lock cylinder OFF, then back to ACC within 1 second.
Open and then close any vehicle door. You will hear a chime when the remote control door lock receiver enters the programming/diagnostic mode. If you do not hear a chime, start again at step 1.

Important
After 7 seconds, you may hear a chime confirming successful synchronization. After approximately 14 seconds, you will hear a chime confirming successful programming.

Press and hold the transmitter LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 14 seconds.
Repeat step 8 in order to program each additional transmitter.
Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
Install the MALL PGM fuse back into the fuse panel. Refer to Electrical Diagnosis in Body and Chassis.
Validate that all the transmitters that were programmed operate properly. Refer to Keyless Entry System Operation .

Hope this helps, I found it online

Radio code

the radio code can get only from the manufacturer, means by applying to an authorized dealer and by giving the details of your vehicle they will give you the radio code. Many times the main dealers when are handing over the new vehicle to its owner usually are writing the security code of the radio and ignition key on the vehicle documents with the chassis number model etc. If you are the owner from new, check the vehicle documents. Good Luck.

How do i remove the key cylinder in a 1994 Land Rover discovery

without the key you cannot remove the cylinder you will have to cut it off and renew the whole lock also the car will need to be re-programmed for it to start as this vehicle has a chipped key and the immobilisor will not release ,their is a way you de -activate the alarm by turning thedrivers door key so many times to the left then the right and so on but you need the original paperwork to get this information ,just order a new key from the chassis number then breakdown truck to dealer for programming and get two keys while your at it ,the chip is in the remote fob on this vehicle for this year if remember rightly so you may think their is no chip in the key but its in the remote fob and if you locked car with remote then you cannot release it without the fob .Sorry to be such a bore

I lost my only key for my 2001 cadillac catera, how can I get a new one?

You need to get an aftermarket coded key which can be cut by the serial number of the vehicle.
You need to be a locksmith to get the cut codes or know a locksmith.
Then you have to get the car to the dealer and have the key programmed using the Tech 2 scanner.

You can take the car to the dealer and have them give you a key, programmed and everything but it will cost around $300 for the 1st key.

I bought a 2001 Catera for $1,500.00 because it had no keys.

I used serial number to get key codes and cut the key; doors opened and seller retrieved her personal stuff.
I towed car to dealership and had the key programmed; $130 for 10 minutes work (min 1 hour shop charge).
I then programmed 3 more keys (using a key code reader) instead of letting the dealership rape me.

BTW, they (dealer) also want $350 for a programmed door remote; the stock remote!
Instead, I bought a remote starter unit (Bulldog) with 2 remote fobs for $100 and now my wife can start and find her car easily.

How do I program a new Keyless entry remote to my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?

Programing Sentry keys: 1. Dealer-Programming additional Sentry Keys (requires ONE original key)
In situations where only one key is available, keys must be programmed by the dealer via the Secured Access Method. The Secured Access method applies to all vehicles. This method requires the use of a DRBIIIt scan tool and will also require that you have access to the unique four-digit PIN code that was assigned to the original SKIM. The PIN code must be used to enter the Secured Access Mode in the SKIM. This PIN number may be obtained from the vehicle owner, from the original vehicle invoice, or from the DaimlerChrysler Customer Center. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic information for the proper Secured Access method programming procedures.

2. Self-Programming additional Sentry Keys (requires TWO original keys)

"A" through "G" below is a quick summary of the steps that are required for programming. Following this list, "1" through "6" takes you through the same process in greater detail.
Quick Steps:
A. Purchase a blank key and have it cut
B. Insert original key #1 into ignition and turn to On
C. Wait 5 seconds and turn key to off
D. Immediately insert original key # 2 into ignition and turn to on
E. Wait 10 seconds for SKIS indicator in dash starts to flash
F. Turn ignition off, insert new blank key and turn ignition back on
G. Once SKIS light stops flashing and turns off, your new key is programmed

You can find more details in Sentry Key® Immobilizer System (SKIS)

Hope helped with this information (remember rated this help) Good luck.
