How can I be sure if my PCM is bad???

I would try disconnecting battery again. Disconnect both cables and touch them together for a few seconds. This will reset all modules. Wierd that you had so many codes after just disconnecting battery. Sometimes very hard to tell if ecm is bad.

1999 Ford Taurus abs system

You can look up any codes & go from there

If no codes-- check for corrosion on abs module harness
connector

Most likely you have a bad wheel speed sensor-- but need
the pcm to first run a check on abs at start up -then work
any codes.

Near impossible without factory manuals

I only have 2004 ford gas eng manuals --but if you have codes
I can work on something

This lean condition can be cause by leaky vacuum hose and / or defect DPFE manifold pressure sensor.
On top of the engine / near the end of the air intake, you will see the DPFE sensor.
It should has FORD part #

F77E-9J460-AB

Check the connector and the body of the sensor for crack (vacuum leak)
Follow each plastic tubes and look for leaks.

I have a sensor on an 03 Ford Explorer...part # 4u7e-9j460-aa7d19aj397m7997. What sensor is this?

This is the DPFE(Delta Pressure Feedback) sensor. Some places may call it an EGR(Exhuast Gas Recirculation) sensor but that's not really what it is.

2000 ford ranger with 3.0 eng. and stick shift, while driving my speedometer quit at the same time my abs brake warning came on. the speedometer starts working after i getup to about 55 or 60 mph any ideas...

Check ABS tone rings and sensors at wheels. Speedometer may be using these signal too. Visually verify rings (look like gears around axles) are intact with all teeth and sensors are at rings with connector attached. Troubleshooting the ABS system is beyond my skill level. If no joy on visual inspection, maybe one of the other experts can chime in on troubleshooting ABS.

Where is the EGR pressuure sensor at. Need to replace it.

Ford Taurus SES 3.0 L 6-cylinder
EGR valve are directly behind the intake manifold.

I listen from Taurus owners that just had the same problem (EGR insufficient and EGR excessive) and they replaced the EGR valve and the 4 oxygen sensors (if you do this use Ford sensors). This didn't fix the problem; then changed the Vacuum Regulator Solenoid and a tube mounted sensor part numbers F63Z-9J459-AA, and 4U7Z-9J460-AA. this fixed my check engine light and code issues, as well as it stopped idling so high that it caused the trans to jump into gear. It sometimes jumped so hard that he thought he had a broken motor mount.

Good luck (remember rated this).

Diagnostic trouble code po401

The p0401 indicates a lack of egr flow. The DPFE sensor (ford basic part number 9J460) is the most common cause of this code. Call a ford dealer for a price and ask if your vehicle is covered under any emissions recall or program for p0401.
