SOURCE: 1997 honda accord sunroof drain problem

You need to open the sunroof fully and locate the small drain holes at each corner. They will be blocked with debris. Get a piece of welding wire or the likes and carefully unblock the hose by prodding and pouring water down it. When cleared the water shout run away freely.

Where are the bottom of the drain holes at on 2008 cts cadillac

Where the drain exits are located are not particularly important. Get something on the order of thick weed eater line or a length of fairly stiff but flexible electrical wire and push it through the lines from the sunroof corners and out the ends of the drains. This is a common problem with sunroofs. One month ago I did this at work on a '96 Passat, a '06 Dodge Ram, and a Ford Focus, all in one week. I always get a funny look on people's faces when I tell them, "all sunroofs leak". Then they understand when I tell them, "there are drain lines to manage the water and carry it away until they get clogged with pollen plugs and the like".

I have a 2003 honda civic ex 2 door. I have a rain leak on the drivers side by the gas/trunk lever. I keep reading it most likely is the sunroof drain. Where is the sunroof drain and how do I get to it to...

It may not be clogged. I believe the sunroof drains run down
the roof pillars and then connect to another hose which exits
through the body behind front fender. Unfortunately the hoses
connect inside the car. Then again this might not be the source
of your leak and water leaks are hard to address. Your dealer
might be your best bet. If the sunroof drains are clogged, Honda
knows entry and exit and they have to be unclogged with compressed
air.

Where do the sunroof drain tubes exit this vehicle?

There are a total of four drains, two front, two rear. The front drains empty out inside of each front door jam. The rear drains empty out inside of the rear bumper. If you drain holes are clogged, use an air compressor to unclog not other as you may either break the drain tube or wack it out of place. I believe there is a technical service bulletin for Grand Prix sunroof mdels 1998-2005, In your sunroof leaks, contact your dealer for more info. Take care and hopes this works for you.

if both the switch and the dimmer are ok
then you have a short some were in that circuit
depending on the mileage it should still be under warranty

2001 Volvo V70 with sun roof...car sitting in heavy rain..return to car both front drivers side and passenger side footwells were full of water. What could cause this..no the windows were not open or the...

Not familiar with the Volvo, but many cars (Toyota, Lexus, Acura, Honda, etc.) have drain holes at the corners of the sun roof assembly. These holes allow water that gets past the sunroof gasket to drain through tubes that carry the water to the bottom of the car, where it exits the car.

These drain holes are prone to clogging. If the Volvo setup is like those cars mentioned, you can see the front drain holes by opening the sunroof and looking closely at the two front corners of the assembly that holds the sunroof. I have used plastic weedeater line to open up these lines. Compressed air can also be used.
