1994 would still be the OBD I computer system. All you have to do is make a jumper out of a piece of wire, a metal paper clip works well, and short between terminals A and B on the ALDL plug.
after you insert your jumper turn the key to the "ON" position and your check engine light will flash a series of flashes and pauses, then it will repeat. write down what the code is and then you will have to decode the number to get what the problem is.
