Question about 1999 Ford Ranger SuperCab
Can i disconnect the fuse for the air bag without any problems
Well, if your air bag light is flashing then your system is already disabled. You have no worries about it deploying on you or anything, it just means that there is a problem that needs to be resolved before the system will activate again and work. Just like a check engine light, the air bag computer will have a stored code that can be read with a code reader, not like the ones you can use at a parts store though. You need to have your codes read and that will tell you where the problem is.
