Air conditioner/heater/vent will not blow air or turn on

We checked the blower motor and its fine. air conditioner/heater/vent will not turn on, it just stopped working middle of road when we were running the airconditioner. We checked the fuses. might be the "receptor" that attatches to blow motor? not sure if that's what it's called, but didn't buy it cuz its nonrefundable. any ideas and price etc. to fix it

yeah, meant the resistor. thanks..You guys are very helpful.

we also took off the control panel and there was no measurable power on the knob that controls the fan levels. So it has to be in the wiring? or its the resistor afterall? Gosh thanks guys for helping spent 2 winters already with no heat in this car, tired of dragging around blankets and scraping the window for the defrost.

Check for full battery voltage at the resistor block, it should have it any time the engine is on, If you don't have voltage to any of the connectors, there is usually a blower motor relay that needs to be checked if all fuses checked out as good.
If it DOES have voltage to the resistor, put the blower speed to full high and check for voltage to the blower motor, if none, then there is a circuit failure, if there is voltage, check the ground side of the blower with an ohm meter, it should read near zero ohms resistance.

also before it went out, when we would turn on air/heater there would be a "kachunk" sound and it would kick on, and sometimes there was no sound, and it wouldn't turn on, but if I turned car off and back on, then it would come on., THANKYOU FOR HELPING

I think you mean resistor. Check to see if your a/c clutch cycles when turned on. You could try the resistor if it works.

SOURCE: 2002 Nissan Maxima SE - Air condition not blowing cold air

simply "adding a can"is a good way to end up with non-functional A/C. the typical system has high/low pressure switches that enable/disable the system. you need to be at the correct volume of refrigerant as specified on the sticker under the hood. i recommend using the proper equipment, evacuating, pulling a vacuum, and then refilling the system with the appropriate amount.

2008 Jeep Liberty-My heater was barely warm-blowing fine tho. Was told I had a plugged heater core and needed a new one. Had a new heater core put in and then my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air....

I woild be checking the vent controls as if the ac is working and the core was blocked then the air would be cool when the heat was selected but not changing Fixing the heater has resulted in a /c not being good enough to cool the air if the vent is not properly selecting. The point is that if the vent selection is not working properly (vacuum hoses) then the 2 faults will be related.

Heater unit doesn't blow any air

If you have no air blowing out it sounds like the blower motor has quit

sounds like your blower motor has stopped working check for power going to the blower system if you have power the blower is probably bad the concern is the lack of a fuse blowing or a breaker not cycling you may have a harness problem sometimes a low grade short will heat up wires then melt them together causing a multisystem failure even though a fuse or breaker didn't blow check you harness

1996 buick park ave ultra- air conditioner turns on but now air flows through the vents it was working fine! and all of a sudden it stoped

I answered this in a different question but I was assuming the air was not coming out of the right vent.
If the air is not blowing at all, you need to check for voltage at the blower fuse, the blower motor, and the resistor.
If there were a blockage such as a dirty cabin air filter, you should hear the blower running.

The air conditioner quit blowing, even with just the vent on it does not blow.

does the heater work?if not it could be as simple as a fuse. OR the blower motor went bad.If the heater does work it has something to do with the air conditioner.I hope this helps

The heater and air conditioner will not blow out any air

if the air started to work only on a few settings then the problem is your blower motor resistor if it just stopped all of a sudden then the blower motor is bad but the first thing i would check is the fuse. always check fuses first if you find a bad fuse for it and it pops rite after you put it in and turn the heater on then replace the blower motor

It could be a fuse, or the blower motor resistor.
