Yes, this is an indication that is instructing you to change the oil. the constancy of the oil is thinning. these Hondas have a very sophisticated oil system sensory module. it will tell you if the oil is to thin. very cool system.

The maintance required indecator was green and nowm its yellow. what do i usually need to do.

the maintenance indicator is designed to turn orange as a reminder to do maintenance and red if its not reset. if you do your maintenance then just ignore the reminder or reset it. theres a little black slot next to the indicator. stick your key in there and it should turn green again. hope this helps.

My 95 honda accord just reached the 205,000 mile mark. Now, the "maintenence required" window is bright red! However, I can't hear or see anything wrong with it. What's the problem??

That is just your maintenance minder system, which helps you keep track of when your oil changes are due. It goes from Green, Yellow to Red every 7500 miles. To reset, just insert your key into the slot next to the Red window. It will then reset to Green. -hope I'm understanding you correctly.

What color is the maintanence light on a 93 honda

You should not have a maintenance light, as those appeared on the 1998 model Accords and up. My old 1996 Accord had an indicator in the gauge cluster which showed either green or red. To reset it, if you looked beside the indicator, you would see a slot to put your key in to reset the indicator.

To reset indicators , insert ignition key into slots below indicator **** at lower right corner of instrument cluster. Push key in until reminder window changes from Red to Green.

The maintenance requierd turns red what do I do?

This is just a reminder, which changes color when a set amount of mileage is put on the car since the last time it was reset (7.5k miles). To reset, just insert the key into the slot in the dash. It will reset to 'green' color. On '92 Accords, the slot is below the tachometer, near the indicator, 93's should be similar. If you have any other questions about this, or you need me to clarify something, please just ask.

Maintence required on red

Maintenance Required is a light that comes on after a predetermined number of miles. For example, if the maintenance schedule Honda set for the car calls for an oil change at 3000 miles, a new fan belt at 6000 miles, and another oil change at 9000 miles, then the maintenance required light will come on every 3000 miles and stay on until it is reset by the dealer. Some people, especially those that do their own regular maintenance but don't have a way to reset the light themselves, find this an annoyance. But others find it useful and take their cars in to the dealer every time the light comes on, and they rest assured that all of the regular maintenance is always done on time.

What this light does NOT do however is signal that there is anything immanently wrong with your car. It is not a "Check Engine" light (that's the one you should worry about if it ever comes on), but merely a reminder for you to do preventative maintenance. That doesn't mean you should *ignore* it, per se, as you want to make sure you have your car on some kind of maintenance schedule, even if yours is not as strict as Honda's. But there is no need to panic.

Maintenance indicator

It means that 5,000 miles have passed since your last oil change or reset of the indicator, change the oil if it has not already been done.

you can reset the indicator by putting your key in the slot next to the indicator if you have one, Or try to hold down the "Trip" button so it resets and this should work

How do you reset maintenance light

If you are referring to "Maintenance Required" part at the bottom of your odometer that turns from green to red... you can use the tip of a key or something else small and push in the little button-**** and it will reset it back to green.
