Question about 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
Lights and ringer stay on when first starting the truck. Then after about 20 dings it stops but the lights still stay on. The breaks work just fine. Slow roll no vibration and on a real hard stop they work. Checked the pedal to make sure it was pulled all the way up on the e break making its connection and it was. What should I do?:)
Have the fault code read and replace any faulty sensors. Have the system reset

sounds like your brake cable has broken or there is something damaged in the pedal assembly.........try pulling on the release handle and move the e-brake pedal back to its off position by hand at the same time.(you may have to tie it in this position to keep it up)If that doesnt work there is a sensor on the pedal assembly that you should be able to bypass by either disconecting the wire(1 wire system) or connecting the two wires together (2 wire system)Especially if your truck is a standard the e-brake is an important safety feature,so if these steps fix the light and dinging problem you should still take the steps to have it repaired.
hope this helps.........Good Luck!

When there is such a feeling, it is the brakes that needs total replacement.
Also you might have to check the master brakes for any leaks. And you need to check the bushing rubbers on the steering rack too.
Be careful and fix this on time.
