Oil pressure issues....when the car is cold...oil is thicker...making better oil pressure....then when the engine warms up...it thins out...in your case...enough to trip your low oil pressure switch... check your oil level properly...by checking it while engine is cold before you go somewhere...the car must NOT be running. to allow all the oil to settle on the bottom to get an accurate oil level reading. if the level is at its acceptable level then you may need an oil pump replacement... low oil pressure is bad...metal rubbing on metal with no oil = dead engine. most oil pumps are located when you remove the oil pan with newer cars. most cases pretty easy but messy..the hard part...is putting the pan back on with NO leaks. gasket sealer with a new gasket and extremely clean mating surfaces are the only way...which is very hard when oil constantly seeps out when the oil pan is removed.

There is service bulletin for this. Dodge has released a different oil sender with a different plug-in.

Oil light on, low cool lant flashes, did oil change, flush radiator?? Now my engine runs hard and it sounds like it's idling hard. High idol and low idol ?? Help!

I would not drive it in case the engine died, the symptoms you describe are indicative of possible cylinder head issues.
Get a GOOD garage to visit or have them tow it into their premises to check your vehicle over.

95 saturn cuts out

Oh yeah. Owned a 95 SC1 for five years myself with a 1.9L I believe engine. These cars require that the ECM be set right or "else." To reset the computer, you will need to unhook both battery cables, wait about 15 minutes and rehook. See if this makes a difference in how it runs. If not, you may have dirty fuel injectors or fuel filter.

Oil light flashes on and off

Your description sounds serious. The next step is to check the oil level, then check the oil pressure with an external gauge. If the pressure is low, the news is not good and you need to disassemble the engine until you find the issue. The clanking does description does not sound good.

After vehicle has warmed, the oil light comes on under 1100 rpms . rev the engine the light goes off

You can't trust the light sensor, so you need to get a mechanical gauge. A cheap capillary tube one is only $10.
You should also change oil.
If the engine has over 100,000 miles, you could consider 20W-50 oil.
You could also have a problem with fuel or ignition, causing oil dillution.
Does it look too thin or smell like gas?
It could also be the oil pump is bad, but that is not normally worth trying.
The number of miles on the engine would help.
But low idle oil pressure is not that important.

While stop oil light blinks on not whlie i am driving.

When the engine is running at idol the oil pressure drops causing the oil light to flash or come on. While driving the engine is running harder and oil pressure is increased and the light goes off. Your oil level may be low in the engine or the oil pump is starting to fail. Is this a vehicle with high mileage?

I have a 1999 Dodge Stratus and when the car comes to a complete stop after its been warmed up, the oil light comes on. This goes away as soon as I step on the gas. I've checked the oil and there is a...

The oil pump may be going out - the light indicates the pressure is below the proper level and when you step on the gas it spins faster/raises the pressure back up to an acceptable level.

This is something to get checked RIGHT AWAY, as these cars have a history of engine failure....possibly due to low oil pressure.

Check this LINK for more info.

The emissions system may be related, but get the oil pressure issue fixed 1st.

Reset change engine oil light

Information taken from: http://www.idavette.net/tech/oilreset.htm

[quote]
The "Change Oil" indicator is reset by using a sequence of Driver Information Center (DIC) key presses as follows:

1. Turn ignition "ON", but do not start engine. (ALDL pin "G" should NOT be grounded.)
2. Press the "ENG/MET" button and release, then, within 5 seconds, press it again.
3. Within 5 seconds of Step 2, press and hold the "GAUGES" button. While the button is held, the "Change Oil" indicator will flash.
4. Continue holding the "GAUGES" button until the "Change Oil" indicator stops flashing and goes out, indicating successful completion of the reset cycle. This should take about 10 seconds.
If it does not successfully reset, turn ignition "OFF" and repeat the procedure from Step 1.

1999 jeep cherokee se 2.5 / 4 cyl / 4x4 flashing oil light

If the engine is not making any ticking noises while light is on, it's likely that the oil pressure sending unit is going bad. Generally, it's located near the oil filter, but every time I tell someone a location, I'm wrong. (can't remember everything) It's not hard to find and anyone at a decent parts house can point it out to you.
good luck also check that the wire going to it is not chafed and shorting to block!
