Sounds like the AC compressor magnetic clutch drive has an excessive air gap on the driven plate. It sould be no more than 0.20"(20 thousands of an inch) use a feeler guage and measure at 4 different spots to get the average air gap, Ford sells shim kits.

Ac clutch won't engage on a 1999 dodge grand caravan automatic

Tap the clutch with a hammer lightly while a/c is on full blast. If it still doesnt engage its time for a new one. Future reference in the winter keep your heat on defrost some of the time, it activates your clutch in the A/C compressor so the bearings wont seize when you go to turn it on, on a hot day.

Sounds like the ABS is activating. Have the OBD scanned for codes. May be a bad wheel sensor.

OVER HEATING AND NO WATER IN HOSES

temp sender unit may be faulty! as this activates the fan!
Check thermostat & hoses & their clamps aswell! as you may have a leak somewhere.
check if oil is clean & not milky!
milkyness indicates head gasket leak or warped or cracked head!
Cheers Rob.

It could be your fan kicking on. Have the fan clutch or your thermostat checked.
