Question about 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
While driving, the truck started running very bad, motor lugging down, gave more gas, acted as it was flooding out. Eventually the engine light came on then the engine shut down and would not crank. Changed fuel pump less than a year ago. Receintly changed the fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter. Still will not start. Took of the intake manifold cover and alot of gas poured out. Not good. My son n law hooked to his computer and the results :PO137 - 02 CKT Low Volt - B1S2 and PO140 - 02 CKT No Activity - B1S2 and PO141 - 02 Htr CKT Malf - B1S2 and PO171 - System too lean - Bank 1 and PO332 - Knock Sens 2 Ckt Low Imput and PO404 - EGR Ckt Range Problem. What do you think is going on. Thanks Jerry email: email@example.com
Sounds like a stuck open injector to me. I think most if not all of those codes are ghosts caused by the computer trying to make sense of all that fuel. Plug the injectors in and bump the key and see if one is spurting fuel. Have a fire extinguisher ready, and aim the injectors into a bucket if you can.

did you check the fuel pressure? there is a sharder valve on the fuel rail to do this. i know you have to have a certain amount of pressure in order for it to run.i think on fuel injection its around 60 to 70 psi.and on throtle body is around 30 to50.psi. i also know if you run your truck low on fuel alot it will burn up the pump gas is what keeps pump cool. also you said you found a pluged filter witch over time will burn up the pump. hope this helps.
