The neutral safety switch is a compulsory part of the car and any by pass operation will make you responsible for any death or injury as a result. Play safe and fix the fault causing you to consider such an ill advised decision

The switch should be on the drivers side of the tranny where the shift linkage attaches to it. You will need a 13mm socket and a 15 mm socket . You will also need a heat gun , the electrical plug is glued into the connectors and must be warmed up to be removed . these rarly go bad but they do get out of adjustment / or when removing pan techs are ad to bend the shift cable bracket and get them out of adjustment . Loosen the two 13mm bolts and move it slightly in both directions and see if this fixs you problem before you change it out.

most gm nuet safety is yellow and purple .....out of ignition switch is a big yellow wire that is crank out and input to nuet saf switch......out of nuet switch is color purple that goes strieght to start selenoid.....purple wire also goes to the crank fuse 5amp.. in the fuse box under dash... this fuse goes to the pcm main computer.. same for auto and clutch
