Codes P0778 and P0010 is also the codes that it is reading

Reading codes that will not allow it accelerate onece started. Hard to start must use starting fluid.

The computer will require a signal to indicate neutral or park as in the auto gear box. I would think that the hard to start problem will be coming from this missing connection You may need a switch on the clutch pedal and have you foot on the pedal so that the cpu thinks the box is in neutral/park

Check the coolant temperature sensor. If it is not reading the temperature correctly, the engine computer would not reduce/lean out the fuel supply, making it hard to start when engine is hot because it is 'flooded'. U may need to floor the accelerator pedal to increase air intake to match the 'rich' mixture. You can get it scanned for error codes to confirm the fault. The item is usually clad in brass with a green colored tip that connects to the wiring harness.

If you have to use starting fluid you must not be getting fuel. Is your fuel pump working?

Wont start in very cold mornings, no sounds when the key is turned.. all lights work.. new starter motor.. new battery..the computer reading comes back as ok.. when the morning are not so cols starts first...


first you start with out accelerator .keep it running for a while .until warm up engine . check the out side temp. and keep clean always .
always start wit out accelerator .

I have a 2006 Scion xb with a code p0010. I changed the camshaft timing oil control valve but the light is still on. Can anyone help?

Semes to lose power, not gas problem,could it be the coil starts right up loses power apon acceleration
