Check your connections. did you run the fuel pump wiring under the drivers side door sash like GM did?.. if so check for nicks in the wire or bending or cracks.. this happens.. happened to me. check your fuel pressure. 40 dollar part at an auto store. If its below 59 PSI it wont work. And blazers are very intolerable to low fuel pressure. Also try taking the negative post off your battery for a little while and then putting it back on and if you can get it started again drive around (if its safe and running decent) for at least 30 minutes to get your car computer system acclimated to a new functioning part. Did you check the fuel filter?. rule of thumb when a pump goes change the filter its always the last thing people expect because we all jump to catastrophic engine failure at the first no start moment. lol.
Make sure that all your ducks are in get my drift.. Air oxygen fuel thats the mixture you need to check all those vital parts. before pulling your head off.

yes you have to drop the tank. you will also need a fuel line tool to unhook the fuel lines. before you drop the tank see if tou can reach and wiggle the electrical connection on the top of the tank. these pumps have a pigtail issue. please rate

are you using the original key ?? sounds wear but in the key switch there is a sensor that detects if the right key is in use otherwise it will kill the power to the fuel pump or it can be a fuse look under the left rear passanger seat there is another set of fuses and the other set of fuses are on the driver side near the door and there is another set of fuses and relays inside the hook next to the battery

I need to replace the fuel pump and the parts house sells it with wiring. Do you have a diagram of how to run the wiring?? It is for a 2000 chevy blazer. Need it asap.


Grey is the power to the fuel pump.
Purple is the power to the fuel level sensor.
One black wire should go to the frame (fuel pump ground).
The other black wire should go to a connector and back to the fuel guage.

Fuel gauge problem not working


its more likely the sending unit resistor inside the tank. sometimes you can replace just the float resistor with another working used one but most new ones come only as the complete unit

There are three black wires coming out of thefuel pump and sending unit 2 with white lines on a 2000 chevy blazer are they all ground wires


I don't know what you mean because the pump black power and white ground would be much thicker then the fuel gauge sending unit black power and white return. The fact there may be an addtional chassis ground should not be confusing. All you have to do is connect one wire at a time, just as they are now. I don't see how you could get them mixed up? Don't they go to a keyed plug?

2000 chevy blazer starts sometimes and sometimes not. replaced starter, spark plugs and wires and fuel pump. still same problem. could it be the mass air flow meter? Jackie


Check for spark by removing one of the plug wires from a spark plug and installing one of your old plugs in the removed wire (leave the other end of the wire attached to the cap). Rest the exposed plug on an under-hood surface that will provide a sufficient ground and have some one turn over the engine. You should se a strong blue spark. We have seen some intermittent coil problems on your generation Blazer that would explain a lack of spark. Good luck!

I have a 2000 chevy blazer vortec 4.3 thats has the "spider" fuel rail. i have presure all the way to the intake lines. i have spark but it will not start i changee the fuel pump a couple months a...


check the 2 wire molley plug going around the front of the intake down into the injector i have found many of those tend to overheat on the plug just cut it and splice the wires back togehter

Were can I find the fuel pump collison switch on my 2000 chevy blazer? I quit a week ago started the next morning, quit again yesterday, pump not running relay checks out, jumper pump does not run?


You do not have a switch like a ford. If you have power for three seconds when key switched on and no fuel pressure you will need a pump. I think its the gray wire on yours. Test at the pump connector
