Re: Can i put a turbo on a 96 volvo 850 GLT
The silly answer is: Of course! You can do anything with enough time and money. Take it apart, put in dished pistons to get the compression ratio down to where it will tolerate boost. Spend a kings ransom on parts to mount the turbo and manage the engine. Or, The smart answer; No! It makes no sense, sell it and buy the turbo flavour. They are actually fairly cheap, way less than building it and you get all the upgrades that come with the turbo option.

You will need to turn the ignition to the number 1 position and turn the radio on. It can take several hours, but the word code should come back on. When that happens, you will need to put the correct code in. If you don't have it, a Volvo dealer can give you the correct code from your VIN.
If you need the security code, you need to call a Volvo dealer and give them the VIN number, provided it is the same stereo the car came with. Most dealers will do it for free, if you can't find one, call Boston Volvo Village.
