My 1998 Chrysler Sebring JXI Convertible Blower Motor not Working. I assumed it was the resistor pack as it was only running on high and then stopped entirely so I replaced the resistor pack with Mopar PN 1-04885844AA that I purchased form the dealer. It still is not working. Before replacing the resistor pack, we could jog the switch and get it the blower to work intermittently by pulling or pushing on the blower knob but, now it won't blow at all. The compressor kicks on fine the compressor light is lit and you can hear and see the compressor turning with clutch engaged. Is it the switch itself? If so, How do I access the switch to replace it? HELP!
Sounds like it in the switch or the electrical plug at the switch. The electrical plug could be burnt and need repairing or replacing. Need to remove the dash fascia, Careful not to damage clips. If the cover has no visible screws or bolts, then it clips into place. Unbolt heater controls and pull contol forward. Not a fun job but with patience you should be ok.

I bought a new AC Control Head from the dealer Mopar PN 4897215AB for $150.00. I found out they aren't rebuilable; they are plastic and glued together. I removed the woodgrain fasia that covers the radio and AC control (it just pulls out), removed the control knobs and unclipped the facia on the control head. It looks like is is going to be a knuckle banger. I will have to figure out whch screws secure the control head. Thanks for your help.
By The Way...I took a piece of wooden shim and wedged it the space by the speed switch to shove it to one side and it worked to get the wife to work. I told her to just turn off the compressor button if she gets too cold. It sometimes pays to be a shade tree mechanic...lol
The resistor pack fixed the only on high problem. it now will blow on all speeds. It took about 20 minutes to replace. The resistor pack is located behind the glove box. You remove the plastic cover underneath and behind the glove box and the Resistor pack is mounted by two bolts. You just unbolt it pull out uplug the two connectors and replace with new resistor pack unit Mopar PN 1-04885844AA (Cost $20.00) from dealer.
