Hi. When last did you check the transmission fluid levels? I had a similar problem a few years back and the problem was there was very little or no transmission fluids. Please check. Thanks.

you check the ATF (trans oil) condition this good indiccator for your trans status . (burn mean clutch inside burn ) have small chips . change ATF and filter and make sure it;s in level.

don't panic just yet . you could have a bad rear tranny seal and the fluid leaked out, It happens, the car won't move since so much fluid leaked out,, I'd take it to get it checked, because if you just refill the fluid its just going to run out again, If it was showing no signs of slippage or jerking before , then with any luck it will be something less than a complete tranny!!

It differs with use but for a rule of thumb you can look at the fluid on the dipstick against a white cloth and if it brown to black looking not a reddish color you should have it serviced.Either a drain and fill or a complete trans flush if it is black.Your trans will thank you
