Isn't this vehicle still under warranty? Dealer should then repair.

Are you referring to the MASS Airflow Sensor? I had to replace one on a 02 Impala (3.8L). It was located right on the top of the air intake passed the air filter. It required 5 minutes to change, but a trip to the hardware store to find tools to remove the torx security head screws took about an hour.

COULD THE GAS PEDAL CABLE CAUSE THIS CODED PO507 to be high

Extracted from Engine-Codes.com

Code P0507

Possible causes

- Dirty throttle body

- Electric throttle control actuator misadjusted or damaged

- Faulty Electric throttle control actuator

- Intake air leak

- Poor electrical connection to the Intake Air Control (IAC) valve

help.jpg What does this mean?

Tech notes

If there are no intake leaks, clean throttle body, adjust engine idle and erase engine code. If the code comes back you may have to replaced the Electric Throttle Control Actuator (Motor) to repair the problem.

There is a factory service bulletin for the following Chevrolet models:

2006-2008 Chevrolet Trail Blazer

2007-2008 Chevrolet Avalanche

2007-2008 Chevrolet Express

2007-2008 Chevrolet Silverado

2007-2008 Chevrolet Suburban

2007-2008 Chevrolet Tahoe

Chevrolet Factory Service Bulletin OBDII Code P0507

What does this mean?

When is the code detected?

Thi P0507 code sets when the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects an engine speed outside of the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve range of control.

Possible symptoms

- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)

- Engine hard to start

- Rough or erratic idle speed

P0507 Chevrolet Description

The Idle Air Control (IAC) valve is a Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controlled stepper motor located on the throttle body. The stepper motor drives a valve pintle which protrudes into a passage that bypasses the throttle plates. The PCM commands the IAC valve pintle to extend to decrease the idle speed. The bypass air flow is reduced and the idle speed decreases as the pintle approaches its seat. The PCM retracts the IAC valve pintle away from its seat to increase the idle speed. The retracting of the IAC valve pintle allows more air to bypass the throttle plates. One of the PCMs uses for the IAC system is to maintain a desired idle speed. This DTC sets when the PCM detects an engine speed outside of the IAC\'s range of control.

Buy the sensor from the car dealership. The sensors at auto stores are inferior and sometimes do not work properly.

2007 impala LT light senser trunk is on but the trunk is closed

check that the sensor is correctly adjusted because the unit says that it is still open. If it is ok then you may have a faulty sensor

My 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 skips, jerks, and the tackometer jumps up and down only sometimes. The times are random.

Check for a vacuum leak around the intake manifold. You can use carb cleaner to find the leak the engine rpm will change when it sucks in the carb cleaner. Most likely its the intake manifold gasket but make sure to check all vacuum hoses.

Looking for ways to correct my check enngine light; the following codes p01400 and p0112 on a 07 6 cycl trailblazer? be advised i just changed out the evap solenoid?

Well the code for the p01400 is for the evap solenoid. But, it could have a wiring problem.
The p0112 is for the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.

Could they be related?

I have a 2008 impala and need to change the cabin air filter. However, I don't know how to remove the clips to remove the plastic under the wipers.

1. Put windsheild wipers in up position.
2. Remove the weather stripping from the passenger side cowl.
3.Unclip the wiper fliud hose.
4.Unscrew and remove fitting on sides of cowl.
5.Remove center screw cap
6.Take out the cowl cover. You may need to use a flat head screw driver to help it along.

There are no codes showing, my check engine light is off, and my truck is still running rich. I have already change the o2 senser and it idells up really high when you start it.

Check for a vacuum leak around the intake manifold area.It could also be something to do with any of the sensors mounted on the intake manifold, although they should set a trouble code.Manifold air pressure sensor, throttle position sensor, mass air flow sensor, idle air control sensor, etc.Take some brake cleaner or WD 40 and while engine is idling, spray around the intake manifold. If the engine speed goes up or down in relation to your spraying, that's the area of the vacuum leak.Good luck.
