The AC clutch is gone. the bearings are leaking fluid. replacing the AC clutch and bearing assembly will fix the compressor.

Why wont my radiater hold water and why is my catalatic converter getting red hot?

You may have a small leak in your water pump and it only leaks when you drive. Or god forbid a cracked block and the water is mixing with your oil (see white smoke coming from tailpipe?)

2008. Why isn't the air conditioning working better?

When the compressor is replaced it should have had at least 2oz of oil inserted into it. The entire system should have been flushed to remove any foreign debris ( especially if the original compressor/clutch failed ). The system then needs to be vacuumed down to remove any moisture for a minimum of ten minutes and then leak tested to ensure vacuum holds. The system is then filled with the proper charge of freon and oil and then monitored for guage pressures and signs of leaks to ensure proper operation and effective cooling

My truck was over heating and know there is oil leaking by the power steering pump

Hi Pedro
Are you sure its oil? not antifreeze? Radiator Leak? that means you have a cooling system problem. f it looks like oil and infact check your valvecover gasket covers maybe over heating toasted the gaskets check the bolts snug them down a bit see if they move easliy maybe thats your oil leak. Also check your power stearing hoses maybe you didnt notice little leak of power steering hose leaing or even clamps on return hose maybe need snugging. Also you may have arped a head and leaking oil between head and engine block . Shampoo engine by Garage dont do it yourself unless you know what your doing you may just end up spending alot of money if you get everything wet under the hood. Then look for the leak and look closly at the color of the fluid use a clean paper towel and look at the color on the white towel. Find out why it over heated Fix that problem and goon to this leak maybe you have a leak spraying up to your head presure test your cooling system.

My car has an oil leak somewhere around the middle of the engine on the passenger side and its not the oil pump. When sitting still it does not leak much but when hot and running it almost seems to pour...

You really just have to get in there with a rag and clean it up. If you dont see the leak right away clean everything that looks wet and look the next day to see where it is wet again. Then you will be able to see where the leak is coming. Did you pay for this solution or is it free?? just wondering fix ya has a new site so i dont know how it works yet. Let me know. Thanks

Blower for air conditioner works but no cold air comes out

it sounds like either you a/c compressor isnt working properly of you have a leak in the a/c system causing a loss of refrigerant. a way to see if your compressor is working properly is to open te hood and have someone sit in the car with the key on engine off and have them push the a/c button on and off. you should hear a definate click coming from the compressor. if you dont hear a click it would be because your compressor failed or there isnt enough refrigerant in the system for the compressor to come on. there are two pressure switches a low pressure switch that tells the compressor to come on once the pressure drops to a certain point. and a high pressure that tells the compressor to shut off once it reaches a certain pressure. you can try recharging the system yourself by going to your local auto parts store and buying a recharge kit. this may solve the problem but if it leaked off once, chances are its going to do it again so i would take it to a shop and have them test it for leaks.

2003 Jeep Liberty is leaking yellowish fluid. Could it be fluid from the 4 wheel drive? I had it serviced last year.

If the yellow fluid is bright yellow, and has a foul smell when you smell it up close (put a little on your finger and see), then it is most likely gear oil in the differential.

The only yellow fluid at the center rear of the Jeep is the gear oil in the differential. It is probably due to a leaking seal at the pinion seal, (at the front of the differential where the drive shaft connects) which would then run down the differential housing and drip off the bottom. I described the smell before because gear oil is quite foul smelling so if you wet your fingers on the fluid and smell it you might get more idea that it is gear oil.

If it is the pinion seal the drip should be in the middle of your rear tyres.

Have a look at the pictures in this link that illustrate where I think the Leak is coming from...

Ac swith on copressor do not work

If the AC switch on the compressor doesn't work, then the system is likely low on refrigerant and won't operate it to reduce the chance of damaging the compressor, due to a leak in the system.

Oil leak on a fiat punto 2001 1.2

Clean the engine block with a compressor and find out where the oil is coming from.
If there is no leak, and motor stays clean, then the oil is being combusted inside the engine, and you should get black smoke from exhaust. In this case it is time to a major repair to the engine.
