2004 grand prix roaring noise

The roaring noise is coming from the front. It is so loud the radio doesn't drowned it out. I have rotated the tires that did not help. I have spun all wheels while jacked up and they make no noises and seem fine. What else could this be.

It really sounds like a wheel bearing to me, If you drive down a straight smooth road and gently rock the steering wheel back and forth, you can sometimes tell which side it is by the way the car loads the front wheels. I believe this bearing can be purchased as hub and bearing assembly so it is fairly easy to replace but the part is pricey. Remove the wheel, brake caliper and rotor, look through the hub flange access holes and undo the mounting bolts and pull the bearing assembly out of the knuckle.

Sometimes it's best just to do both, they have both been down the same road. I usually start with the one I think it is and then drive it. If it's fixed, leave it, still there, do the other one.

98 Pontiac Grand Prix load front end roaring?

Defective fan clutch, if it has one. With a cold engine only, try spinning the fan blade by hand. If it does not turn freely, the fan clutch is defective. Warning: When the engine is hot, the fan can turn on by itself with the car not running and keys are NOT in the ignition.

I have a 2005 gmc sierra 1500 what would cause a roaring sound coming from my truck?

Hi. the noise is likely because you now have tires with a more aggressive tread. The bumpier the tire, the more noise you will hear. Had the same issue with my Sierra.

I hear a roaring noise when I turn.

Is the noise coming from your power steering pump which is under your hood, or from down by one of your front tires? If the noise is coming from under your hood you may be low on power steering fluid and you can probably get rid of the noise by simply adding some fluid to your pump. If the sound is coming from one of your front tires you may need to have a wheel bearing replaced. I hope this is helpful.
